DIY Play Kitchen

Quinn's Play Kitchen

We knew for a long time that we wanted to build Quinn's play kitchen.  We love a project and anything that we can build, make a little more personal and create a one-of-a-kind item we are all game.  This project involved a lot more Todd time with the building, constructing, and designing the doors that open/close and latch.  I was able to paint and decorate pretty quickly.
It took me a while to find the perfect paint color. :)

For this project, we actually used as many materials we already had stashed in the garage.
We purchased some of the wood, the decorative corbels on the bottom, a deep bowl for the sink (we used the old faucet we had pulled out of our kitchen), wood disks and knobs that we painted for the stovetop and oven, a basket, picture frame, wood plaque (I painted as a chalkboard) and some backsplash.  We utilized handled we already had, hinges, hooks, a cookie sheet (hangs on the side for playing with magnets), some beadboard and trim.
We love utilizing leftover supplies!
And to use it for something as special as this is fantastic!

We were very happy with the outcome, and most importantly Quinn loves it.
